The Mission Church is a non-denominational church in the Fox Valley.
Started in August of 2008 by a group of people with a desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
What started in the living room of our lead pastor Shawn Whitworth has grown to a community of people seeking to fulfill our Mission "To Reach and Teach" as we live out our Values of "Faith, Hope, & Love"
Location
We are on the move! We’ve been a fixture in downtown Appleton for many years, following God’s vision for us to welcome the homeless and in-need population. We’re in the process of building an even larger location near downtown which will enable us to do even more ministry. For now, we’re so grateful that God has given us a temporary building at 2720 Kesting Court, a beautiful home for our dynamic church family.
Atmosphere
We are a community of people who try to do everything we can to make new people comfortable. From kids to parents, students to seasoned veterans, we have them all. You don’t have to wear a suit and tie to fit in…in fact, many people wear flip flops, shorts, and hats. Some have tattoos, and others wouldn’t dream of a tattoo. We’re a come-as-you-are community.
What to expect
We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at The Mission a great one!
Our Worship Services are about one hour long and include music, prayer, and a Bible-based sermon. Our Worship Services will help you grow in your faith no matter where you are at.
Worship Services and Events at The Mission are exciting, casual, and relaxed. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week exploring their own faith.
Mission Kids is offered for kids ages infant through Grade 5.
